Villa Description
The Fair Circle is a Zen inspired mid-century home located on a cul-de-sac in the exclusive enclave of Vista Las Palmas. Restored in 2004, the original Alexander home built in 1960 features two bedrooms and includes stunning west-facing views of the San Jacinto Mountain range. The painstaking year-long restoration kept the classic mid-century post-and-beam architectural value, while adding many modern amenities and luxuries. The designer found original glass shoji screens and drew inspiration for an Asian interior, which blends well with the stylish appointments throughout the home. The master suite continues the Asian decor and has direct access to the patio and hot tub. The kitchen was also updated with modern appliances and sleek granite counters perfect for creating an intimate dining experience. The outdoor kitchen adds additional space for dining and grilling al fresco. Lush oleander and palm trees surround the rear yard, a space of complete privacy divided into two distinct environments. On the south side are a pool, fountains, and outdoor kitchen. The north side includes a large lawn area, a soothing waterfall, and above ground hot tub. The home's landscape is bordered by channels of tumbled river rock that reflect the colors of the home and the desert surroundings. Night brings in a warm glow with the light framing the huge palm trees, cactus, and desert plants beneath the star-filled deep-blue sky. The home's central location make for an easy ten minute walk to the heart of downtown Palm Springs with many restaurants, shops, and entertainment to choose from. The neighborhood was once home to numerous Hollywood stars, motion picture executives, and other celebrities (the house just next door was the home of Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee).
